Mas reservou para a sobremesa uma lufada de originalidade vinda de fora: misturou descobertas que fizera em suas andanças gastronômicas com a tradição da confeitaria portuguesa. Assim nasceu, em 1987, seu famoso bolo de chocolate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A resposta dos clientes não poderia ter sido melhor e a sobremesa logo chamou a atenção. Havia clientes que vinham ao restaurante somente por causa do bolo e logo começaram a chover encomendas para festas. E o que começou como uma simples sobremesa do restaurante lisboeta tornou-se tão famoso que em 2002 abriu uma pequena confeitaria chamada "O Melhor Bolo de Chocolate do Mundo", no bairro de Campo de Ourique, para vender e comercializar exclusivamente o bolo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A receita, que não leva farinha nem fermento, é feita com chocolate gourmet e é servida em duas versões: meio-amarga - 70% de cacau e tradicional doce - 53% de cacau. Os clientes podem saborear o bolo em fatias ou comprá-lo inteiro nos tamanhos grande e pequeno. O bolo agora possui ainda o&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt; selo Kosher - LKB-lácteo-chalav stam da lista amarela, cedido pela BDK.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O boca-a-boca levou vários brasileiros a procurar a confeitaria em Lisboa, o que inspirou Carlos a levar sua receita para além-mar.                             2 colheres sopa de Conhaque  ou Whisky&lt;br /&gt;                             1 chávena chá de Chocolate em pó ou chocolate granulado &lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;(para envolver as trufas)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span id="ctl14_rptEtapa_ctl00_lblEtapa"&gt;Aqueça o Leite Condensado em banho-maria. Junte metade do Chocolate Negro, mexendo até obter uma pasta homogenea. Retire do banho-maria e misture o Chocolate em Pó. Junte a manteiga à temperatura ambiente e o Conhaque. Misture e leve ao frigorífico por algumas horas até endurecer. Faça bolinhas. Derreta o Chocolate restante em banho-maria, quando derreter retire do lume e continue mexendo, quando ficar na temperatuar ambiente mergulhe as trufas, uma a uma. Escorra-as sobre um tabuleiro forrado com papel de alumínio e leve para gelar no congelador por cerca de 1 hora.
